We gather in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and own no other name, choosing to be known simply as Christians, “that in all things He may have the preeminence.”<\/em> (Colossians 1:18<\/a>) We follow the Lord’s instruction to “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together…and exhort one another”<\/em> (Hebrews 10:25<\/a>). We separate ourselves from that which is contrary to the will of God as revealed in His Word – the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Christians, we obey the commands of the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 22:19-20<\/a>) and follow the pattern of the first Christians who “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayer.”<\/em> (Acts 2:42<\/a>) When we gather together on Sundays, we remember the suffering and death of Jesus for us by breaking bread, and we share in the “cup” to remember the new testament purchased in the blood of Christ. This is often referred to as the “Lord’s Supper” to which we welcome participation all who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and believe in their heart that God has raised him from the dead (Rom 10:9-10<\/a>). We also meet to study the Scriptures, spend time in fellowship and prayer, and to exhort one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We seek to teach “the whole counsel of God”<\/em> (Acts 20:27<\/a>) and to present with clarity “the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”<\/em> (Romans 1:1-3<\/a>) “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.”<\/em> (1 Peter 3:18<\/a>) It is this good news alone that is “the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes.”<\/em> (Romans 1:16<\/a>) All who admit their helpless condition as condemned sinners before a holy God and place their trust in the sinless Son of God – who shed His blood on the cross for their sins, was buried, and rose from the dead – will be forgiven by God, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, and given the gift of eternal life. (Romans 3:20-28<\/a>) It is our desire that this good news about the incomparable Person and all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ be proclaimed to all the nations of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”<\/em> (John 3:16<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
