The Knoxville Assembly is committed to a plurality of leaders, who are called "elders" in the New Testament. These men are described as shepherds who pastor the flock (Acts 20:28; I Peter 5:2). They are to humbly serve the local church and to lead by example (I Peter 5:3). They are to meet the qualifications given in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
